About MSATA and the FTA

MSATA constitutes the Midwestern states within the Federation of Tax Administrators (FTA), an organization that categorizes its members into four regions, the Northeast (NESTOA), Southern (SEATA), Midwestern (MSATA), and Western (WSATA). The Federation of Tax Administrators (FTA) was organized in 1937 and serves as the primary organization for state tax administrators, providing research, training, coordination, and advocacy on state taxation matters.
