Partners James Haney, Florelee Lyles, Daniel Fleming and Linda Wong represented Wong Fleming at the Volunteer Lawyers for Justice (VLJ) Arts & Eats for Justice Gala at Nanina’s in the Park on Tuesday, October 3, 2023. The event raised over $625,000 in donations to support VLJ’s mission to ensure access to justice for people experiencing poverty. Wong Fleming was one of the event’s sponsors.

Those honored at this year’s gala included Verizon (Partner in Justice Award), Reed Smith LLP (Community Vision Award), and Paul J. Fishman (Champion of Justice Award).

VLJ’s mission is to ensure access to justice for people experiencing poverty. The organization is founded on the belief that  legal services have the ability to effectuate profound change, including economic stability and prosperity, and that persons of all economic backgrounds should have access to the legal system. VLJ mobilizes volunteers to work alongside staff to address critical legal needs across New Jersey, advancing racial, social, and economic justice for the most vulnerable members of our community.
