Wong Fleming proudly congratulates our partner, Dafney Dubuisson Stokes, for being honored as a recipient of the 2023 National Business Institute‘s (NBI) Outstanding Faculty Award. This prestigious recognition highlights Ms. Dubuisson Stokes’s exceptional contributions to legal education and professional development.
In determining eligibility for these awards, NBI evaluates factors such as the quantity of speaking engagements, presentation quality, and comprehensive course evaluations.

At Wong Fleming, Ms. Dubuisson Stokes brings a wealth of expertise, specializing in commercial litigation, creditor’s rights, bankruptcy, and automotive finance law. She has successfully defended Fortune 500 corporate clients in connection with Fair Credit Reporting Act, Fair Debt Collection Practices, Truth in Lending and bankruptcy litigation on a national level. She presently serves as the co-chair of the Emerging Leaders Initiative within NAMWOLF (National Association of Minority and Women Owned Law Firms), which aims to achieve equity in the legal profession through collaboration between law firms and the corporate sector. Ms. Dubuisson Stokes is also a member of the New Jersey Supreme Court Ethics Committee (District IIIB) and on the Board of the Marks Cares, Inc. in Montclair, New Jersey, with a mission to eradicate homelessness throughout New Jersey. She has also been recognized by NJBiz as a 2023 Leader in the Law. Ms. Dubuisson Stokes is licensed to practice law in Alaska, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, and Pennsylvania. She earned her a B.A. degree, with honors, from Boston College and her J.D. degree from Temple University James E. Beasley School of Law. Her commitment to excellence and passion for her work have further distinguished Ms. Dubuisson Stokes as an esteemed legal educator.
